WotB also changes the rules - basic skill attacks now extend the duration. Which would be worth it when we go the whirlwind route. But by taking it you miss out on that other one that gives 135% core skill dmg for 100% more mana costs. It perfectly fits the idea of the build - improving and extending berserking as much as possible. Do I really want a build with no aoe on demand skill? How do remedy that? That thorns have % chance to do aoe aspect? Is the deal fire damage to enemies around you while berserking aspect sufficient? How about both?Īnd then there’s the relentless berserkers aspect that gives core skills a lucky hit chance to extend berserking with double amount on crit… well, can I think of a fast hitting core skill that crits all the time? Whirlwind obviously! At it again, potentially OP in even more ways.īut let’s look at the barbs passives and the wrath of the berserker ultimate for a second. Decent for single target but almost no aoe whatsoever. The obvious choice is double swing, spend fury to extend for 2 seconds. Then there’s the maintaining of berserking part. I feel It’s an underrated utility skill though. And 2 charges of steel grasp really didn’t work reliably either. With death blow I often felt obligated to use it to maintain berserking even on mobs that I knew wouldn’t be one shot so I end up with a 14 secs cd. Only warcry really felt proper here in my testings especially with cooldown reduction from that one aspect you can start 4 secs of berserking about every 10 seconds if not less later on. Warcry gives you 4 secs, deathblow 3secs and steel grasp grants 2 and there’s an aspect that grants one sec upon weapon switch. So there’s a few way to start berserking. So I was thinking about making a barb that’s focused around constant uptime of berserking, hitting stuff fast with 2x 1handers and I’d like some thoughts from y’all.
